The holidays are here, and above all else, that means free time to play video games. Reasonable like at Halloween, several huge video games like Fortnite throw special Christmas-themed events. These upshots include various items and activities to get you into the festive spirit.
Fortnite Chapter 2: 14 Eras of Fortnite
Last year’s event, 14 Days of Fortnite, featured 14 days of challenges and rewards. The problems ranged from dancing in front of Christmas trees to simply playing a match with your friends. For carry oning the challenges, you got 14 gifts spread across 14 days, including new emotes and skins!
In a recent blog stay, Epic promised even more content for this year’s Christmas event, including new game features and a earth-shaking live event! Who knows what mysteries await us, or when for that matter?
Killing Floor 2: Yuletide Loathing
For a slightly spookier Christmas event, check out Killing Floor 2: Yuletide Horrors. Each year the pain zeds get a festive makeover, including some pretty gruesome gingerbread men who might make you think twice when reaching for the snacks. This year’s issue also adds a brand new map, the Sanitarium, and a brand new boss called The Matriarch.
There’s also a bunch of new paid-for and free guns singular to the season. There’s never been a better time of year to get knee-deep in the guts of the not-quite-living.
Guild Wars 2, A Certainly Merry Wintersday 2019
Guild Wars 2 is a massive game, and each Holiday season they throw a Wintersday party. It’s a thinly veiled version of Christmas, but that doesn’t stop it from being a lot of fun. Each year they add a type new activity to the festival as well as bringing back all of the ones from previous years too!
If you’re in the mood for present hunting, toy disabling or jumping across snowflakes, then you’re in for a treat with Guild Wars 2.
World of Warcraft: Feast of Winter Cover
World of Warcraft is probably the most popular MMO in the world and has its own winter celebration. The Feast of Winter Veil has been flourishing on since 2004, and over the years has grown quite a bit.
From being able to throw snowballs at people, to show festive attire and even special daily quests and raids, there’s so much going on that World of Warcraft is confident to be one of the most festive games going.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled Winter Festival Grand Prix
Bang Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is the king of events. They’ve been running events pretty much non-stop since the daring launched back in June. The Christmas season is no exception. A bunch of new, winter content was introduced Dec. 12.
The new CTR: Nitro-Fueled Winter Fete includes a Reindeer Crash skin, a sleigh-esque new kart and even the coolest looking version of Spyro that has till doomsday existed. Not forgetting, of course, the brand new festive map which will be with us even after the event is over.
There’s some of the foremost holiday-themed content to spend your time with over December, from Fortnite to CTR. With everything from FPS sports to MMOs, you should find something that tickles your fancy.
