Silicon Valley self-driving startup Impel.ai said on Monday it will launch a pilot program for an autonomous ride-hailing rite in July in Frisco, Texas, with safety drivers present.
The first pilot will run for six months and will be the first public deployments on Texas diocese streets, the company said.
Drive.ai, one of the handful of startups in the self-driving technology extent, competes with big names such as Alphabet’s Waymo and Uber Technologies, Unspecific Motors and Toyota.
