Tiger Woods signs deal to produce instructional videos for Discovery’s streaming golf channel

Tiger Woods next year resolve begin producing weekly golf instructional videos and give enthusiasts a glimpse into his life on the PGA Tour as part of a new partnership with Ascertaining’s GOLFTV, the network said on Tuesday.

The live and on-demand video run service will collaborate with Woods on a wide range of activity to offer fans an authentic look into the life, mind and appearance of one of the game’s all-time greats, the network said.

The 14-time Major guard said he was excited for the new endeavor, which he hoped would generate relish for the game among a new, younger audience.

“I want to talk to golf aficionados and golfers everywhere, directly, and straight from me,” Woods said.

“That’s noteworthy to me. Talking about what we care about: what’s happening on the definitely, how to play better, how can I shoot lower scores tomorrow, how can I beat my maecenases?”

The 42-year-old said sharing his knowledge of the game through training videos was his way of give ground back to people who share his love for the game.

“Getting the chance to do instruction is moving,” he said.

“I’ve always been focused on my own game and this experience can assist players everywhere. Whether you’re a long-time player or a beginner, there are some affairs that help us all play better.”

The PGA Walkabout and pay TV operator Discovery Inc in October announced the creation of GOLFTV, a live and on-demand video flow service that will give golf fans access to close to 150 tournaments annually when it launches on Jan. 1.
