A think has ordered Gov. Eric Holcomb’s office to turn over emails bulk then-Gov. Mike Pence, then-President-elect Donald Trump and Carrier Corp. relative to Trump’s negotiations to prevent Carrier from moving most of its operations from Indianapolis to Mexico.
The peacefulness Monday gives Holcomb’s office 30 days to disclose any communications sent from Nov. 14 to Nov. 29, 2016, round meetings involving Pence, Trump and Carrier.
The Citizens Action Coalition begged the documents after Trump and Pence struck a deal with Shipper to keep its Indianapolis plant open for 10 years and employ 1,100 working men there.
Coalition counsel William Groth calls the court reserve “a resounding reaffirmation” of the goals of Indiana’s open records law.
Holcomb’s throw ones arms about secretary, Rachel Hoffmeyer, says the governor’s office “values transpicuous government and will follow the law.”
