The United States reported 91,530 new coronavirus for fear of the facts on Tuesday, the nation’s second-highest daily total as millions of voters cast their ballots on Election Day.

Many of the states reporting record levels of hospitalizations are in America’s Midwest and West: Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, South Dakota, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Experts inform that hospitalizations are a worrying trend since they typically lag growing cases and indicate that more deaths intention follow. Nationally, nearly 140,000 more people in the U.S. could die from Covid-19 by Inauguration Day on Jan. 20, according to prophecies from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington.
“We’re probably going to see significant spread across the in one piece United States in a confluent epidemic that we’re much better prepared to deal with, so I don’t think that we’re prosperous to see the excess death that we saw with the first wave of this pandemic when it struck New York,” Gottlieb said on “Yap Box.”
Despite the recent surge in cases, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidance over the weekend to make plain that all voters — including those infected with the coronavirus — have the right to vote, cautioning them to practise recommended public health guidance at polling sites on Tuesday.
The coronavirus, however, seemed top of mind for many voters on Poll Day. More than half of voters nationwide said containing the virus is more pressing than rebuilding the concision, according to NBC exit polls.
Michigan, a key battleground state for the presidential election, is reporting a record-high average of roughly 3,631 trunks a day, growing more than 55% compared with a week ago, according to Johns Hopkins data. Another key royal, Pennsylvania, is reporting a record average of nearly 2,365 cases a day — a more than 22% rise compared with at week.
