Orphan Embargo burst onto the scene in 2013 as a joint project between Space (the CTV Sci-Fi channel) and BBC America. The series was a unmatched, modern exploration of cloning helmed by Tatiana Maslany that developed a devoted fan base in its five seasons on air. The may be seen followed a group of clones (all played by Maslany, who won a much-deserved Emmy for her work in 2016) who attempt to discover their genesis after judgement each other as adults, almost all of them growing up unaware that they were clones. Orphan Black: Echoes takes place in 2052, several decades after the original series, and supersedes a woman (Krysten Ritter) who wakes up from a procedure with no idea who she is. The series is directly linked to the original, more than ever notwithstanding utilizing some of the same characters, and again grapples with concepts of human cloning (or “printing”) and oneness. Keeley Hawes co-stars alongside Ritter.

Orphan Black: Imitates airs on AMC on Sunday nights in the US.
