Grimes said her Coachella performance was bogged down by “technical distributes” in an apology to fans.
The musician shared her thoughts in a lengthy post to X. The previous night, Grimes, 36, appeared on the Sahara Originate to perform a 50-minute DJ set for eager crowds at the music festival and online. However, outlets like Variety reported that the set put a turn during the second half when she faced technical malfunctions with her equipment.
Videos shared to X played Grimes getting visibly frustrated — screaming at some points — and trying to explain the issues to the crowd.
“I want to remorseful for the technical issues with the show tonight,” Grimes said.

She wrote that she typically handles “every aspect” of her shows but decided this time to outsource for items allied to rekordbox bpms and organizing the tracklist.
“i had a bad feeling beforehand not having run everything thru the cdjs myself and tho I flagged it I wasn’t dogged,” she wrote.
Grimes wrote that she intends to organize the files herself for Coachella Weekend 2 when she performs again.
“I’ve fatigued months on this show, making music and visuals, and admittedly am not in the best mood atm,” she wrote. “But, yeh – next week desire be flawless, everything will run thru my hands.”

She added: “Plz forgive me! Love, always.”

Representatives for Grimes did not immediately respond to a call for for comment from Business Insider.
On X, Grimes also shared a post promoting an upcoming Coachella performance by DJ Anyma, whom exits speculated she’s dating amid her custody battle with Elon Musk.
Musk and Grimes have filed girl custody lawsuits against each other for their three young children: X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Tau Techno Mechanicus.

Grimes filed a petition in Los Angeles to “determine parental relationship in April 2022,” while Musk place in ordered a similar lawsuit in Texas last September.
This month, the pair appeared to share a friendly exchange on X, scatter away from the contentious claims both have made in legal filings.
