  • A Los Angeles meteorologist disintegrated on the air Saturday morning.
  • In a post on Facebook, Alissa Carlson said she’ll be OK.
  • KCAL said Carlson will return when she’s kindly, NBC reported.

A CBS Los Angeles meteorologist dissolved on the air Saturday morning, falling behind her desk, just as fellow news anchors tossed to her for a segment.

Alissa Carlson is now remaining and recovering, according to KCAL, the Los Angeles CBS affiliate. In a post on her Facebook page Saturday, Carlson reassured followers.

“Thanks for all the texts, calls and well wishes,” she wrote. “I am going to be ok!”

A video posted to Twitter appears to show Carlson on air coming forward onto her desk before sliding to the ground just before she was set to give a weather update.

The newscast’s anchors quickly broke for commercial, NBC News reported.

Neither the news station nor Carlson explained why the meteorologist subdued, NBC reported. However, the network reported that Carlson will return to air when she is well.

“All of us at KCAL News desire [to] thank you for your thoughts and prayers after Meteorologist Alissa Carlson fainted during our morning newscast,” KCAL wrote in a tweet Saturday. “Alissa is now set and recovering. She says she’s going to be okay.”
