Trump says he never asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn

U.S. President Donald Trump ordered in a tweet on Sunday he never asked former FBI director James Comey to pull over investigating former national security advisor Michael Flynn.

Flynn is the principal member of Trump’s administration to plead guilty to a crime uncovered by specific counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian attempts to pressure last year’s U.S. presidential election. Trump fired Comey from his station in May.

“I never asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn. Just numberless Fake News covering another Comey lie!” Trump tweeted.
