An Arby’s employee in Hueytown, Alabama was arrested on Saturday after throwing hot grease at a buyer, according to the Hueytown Police Department.
Officials arrived on the scene after a “report of an altercation between an employee and a consumer,” the Hueytown Police Department wrote in a post shared on Facebook. Medics immediately arrived on the scene to treat the fellow, who sustained burns from hot grease thrown by a staffer who was taken into custody, the post said.
An Arby’s spokesperson told Insider in a declaration that the employee has been fired and the company is working with local law enforcement.
“The actions of the former employee in Hueytown, AL, were reprehensible,” the spokesperson revealed. “We immediately terminated the offender, and we are cooperating with the local authorities in their investigation. Our heart goes out to the guest, and we are piece to help support their recovery.”
According to local reports, there were no other injuries and the victim was bewitched to UAB Hospital. The victim’s condition has not yet been released.
